Chip seal provides clean, natural style
We spread asphalt onto an existing surface and immediately embed crushed stone chips using rubber-tired rollers. We offer a special 1/4” chip, providing a tighter grain which creates a smoother surface for roller blading and skateboarding. We also offer 3/8” or 1/2” chips, which are standard throughout the industry. Choose between traditional black or contemporary grey clean, crushed aggregate.
We Take Care of Everything
Preparation: Your driveway is prepared, with holes filled and any grading provided.
Asphalt Application: Heated, liquid asphalt is sprayed onto the surface.
Chip Spreading: Crushed stone chips are immediately spread over the hot asphalt.
Compaction: Rubber-tired rollers press the stone chips into the asphalt, embedding them.
Curing: The surface is allowed to cure, which can take a day or two, especially in hot, dry weather, allowing all the water to evaporate and the asphalt to harden.
Sweeping: Loose chips are swept off the surface to create a smooth, finished driveway.
